1/2 oz Cointreau
Salt for Rim of Glass (Optional)
Lime for Garnish
Wet glass rim with lime wedge and dip rim in salt
Combine ingredients with ice in shaker and shake
Pour into salted rim glass

I purchased original for my husband. He mixes 1/2 ounce with 2 ounces Woodford and adds one cherry and a slice of orange. We entertain often and since the first purchase I've ordered 5 more! They are perfectly delicious every single time.
Well I decided to branch out and I bought Citrus and Ginger. I followed the Ginger recipe and it made a great Moscow Mule.
I used the Citrus and WOW I made the best margarita ever. I'm talking real margarita, not from a frozen bucket or a glass full of sugary sour mix. Proof Citron with Tequila, Cointreau and a lime garnish is the real deal. The best thing about Proof is the consistency of making amazing cocktails.
I want to try other flavors bit for now Original and Citrus will be staples in my home.

I was expecting 1 traditional, 1 lemon and 1 maple bacon. What I got wad 2 lemon and 1 maple bacon. To me the lemon is too sweat. Traditional and maple bacon are the two best options.

Love this citrus syrup! I mix 2 parts rum and 1 part syrup with a squeeze of fresh lime and lots of ice. So refreshing! I think if I add a little fresh mint it might be a perfect mojito, too. That's next on my list! On my second bottle in 3 weeks...so will have to quit sharing it with friends. They need to get their own!

I’ve never really had old fashions before, so can’t really comment on how good this mix is…makes an ok drink.
I also bought the lime…have most definitely enjoyed other margarita mixes more…so maybe margarita isn’t the sweet spot for this mix. I’ll try one of the other recipes this is can be used for. These bottles were ~$30 each—I’m assuming massive markup on cost per unit and trying to sell to a premium market. That drew me in as I equates price with awesomeness. I missed my aim there…

My only concern/problem with the sour syrup is that is wasn't mostly just sweet. I couldn't taste any real sour flavor to it, even when I drank it straight in a shot glass. I love sour flavor in my drinks and was just hoping for more sour flavor.
