This version of a classic greyhound can be made with plain vodka, or a grapefruit-flavored vodka such as Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka.

If using grapefruit vodka, you can assemble this cocktail in a mixing glass instead of a shaker. Just stir together vodka and Rosemary Proof Syrup, pour over ice, and add a generous splash of club soda to make up for the volume lost by eliminating the juice. Give a quick stir pre-garnish.


  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Rosemary Proof Syrup
  • 1 oz Grapefruit Juice
  • Grapefruit Wedge & Rosemary Sprig to Garnish


Rocks Glass


  1. Measure vodka, Proof Syrup, and grapefruit juice into shaker; add ice and shake until well combined.
  2. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
  3. Garnish with grapefruit wedge and/or rosemary sprig.
