After waiting over two months from my order date it was pretty good. But not good enough to offset the experience of being told a number of false stories of when it was shipping. That plus the fact you took my money months before it was ready and held up the bottle of Traditional syrup during that time. Guessing this review will never see the light of day. Cheers.

Like the mix but since you add 1 oz. of it per drink, you only get 16 drinks out of a bottle. Much cheaper to make it from scratch.

I love the Manhattan mix. It has the perfect amount of vermouth. I've been making Manhattans for years and my recipe is not nearly as good as this mix. I won't ever make them again with our the Proof Manhattan mix.

While I still believe the best Manhattan is the one you mix up yourself, this ready mix from Proof is an excellent way to get into your drink of choice easily and quickly!
Just add the mix in the recommended proportion and start imbibing. The taste will depend on your Bourbon selection of course, but the mix itself lends a nice "woody" taste of vermouth to the base flavor.
This works well if you're going to prepare for a group as well. Much less effort and the guests will congratulate you on your ability to prepare a very fine Manhattan in quantity and quality.

We use Makers Mark, as we like our Manhattans smooth and mellow.
The Proof syrup not only makes it easier to mix a Manhattan, but it tastes better, too. We like the syrup so much that we usually add a bit more of it in than we would Vermouth/Bitters. The syrup has a more complex herbal quality than typical bitters, but a great balance of flavors. It's a richer and more sophisticated taste than the typical whisky/cherry juice quality of a lot of Manhattans I've had in restaurants and bars (yuck).
Rest assured Proof Manhattan Syrup will make a better Manhattan than you would get at any place which puts "maraschino cherries" and their "juice" in a Manhattan...
